Green Initiatives

Committed to sustainability

Through Indianapolis Power & Light’s (IPL) Green Power Option, our U.S. facility is powered by 100% certified renewable energy from alternate sources such as wind and biomass. By offsetting the use of fossil-fueled power generation, this program will better enable us to become completely carbon-neutral.

By participating in the IPL Green Power Option program at the 100% level, BioStorage Technologies is able to:

• Offset carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to 244 passenger cars driven for one year
• Offset almost six railcars of coal consumed
• Save the equivalent of nine acres of forest each year.

• The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research—We financially support The Michael J. Fox Foundation which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today.

• Susan G Komen for the Cure—We financially support the goals of the Tissue Bank at the IU Simon Cancer Center who acquires biomolecule and tissue specimens from the entire continuum of breast development: puberty to menopause and to make these specimens or the digital data derived from them available and accessible to researchers across the globe.
